The Machine Girl (Tokyo Shock DVD)

Bloke's picture

After Ami's brother Yu and his friend are chased down and killed by the son of a Yakuza and his group of heavies, she seeks revenge against those responsible.
Ami was both sister and guardian to her brother as their actual parents had committed suicide after being fausly accused of murder. Her revenge is cut short when she is captured and tortured, her fingers are cut off and then her arm is severed at the elbow. She manages to escape and is nursed back to health by the parents of Yu's friend. They happen to be wizards with mechanics and the two of them decide to help Ami in her quest for revenge.

They come up with a gatling gun weapon that attaches to the stump remains of her arm - and so begins the arterial spraying delight that is Machine Girl!

The special F/X are a mixture of both CGI and good old fashioned latex.Just like in the old Shogun Assassin/Baby Cart series,a cut to the flesh results in a huge geyser of blood that goes on forever!Turn your brain off for 90 or so minutes and enjoy the new wave of Asian gore extreme!
If you liked The Story of Rikki back in the 90's then you need to check this one out!

Presented in an almost flawless anamorphic widescreen transfer with audio options for both Japanese and English soundtracks.Purists will of course want to avoid the dubbed version and watch it as it was intended with subtitles.

Xtras include a number of trailers for the Tokyo Shock catalogue and a short behind the scenes featurette.
