The Other Hell
When it comes to Italy’s Bruno Mattei it’s hard to pick a favorite and why should one have to do so? But if I did have to make the choice this wacky nunsploitation horror entry is a straight up tie with his Zombie crowd pleaser “Hell of the Living Dead”.
Murder is a foot at a nunnery with the question being – is it the work of a mass murderer or could it be the Devil? When a battered bloody body is found the Mother Superior calls in a priest to exorcise the demons but his arrival only spawns more murders.
Featuring: Stigmata, a vagina cut out, a baby boiled, a priest in flames, a dog that bites the hand that feeds him, web strewn skull filled catacombs, hanging dolls, the creepy gardener with oh so Italian atmosphere and a killer Goblin scored that also appeared in Joe D’Amato’s “Buio Omega” aka “Beyond the Darkness”, Mattei fans cannot go wrong with this classick.
