After wanting to see this for ages ever since the news came online about this being released on DVD i finally got to see this last night.I also have his Island Of The Living Dead ready to view as well and i will get to that asap.

But for now its Zombies:The Beginning..To enjoy this you really need to be a Mattei fan otherwise you'll just think its crazy crap! If you like his Hell Of The Living Dead then you know what to expect here including the rip off story line which basically takes the plot of Aliens and puts zombies into the mix.Bad dubbing,below par acting,blood and guts,it's all here for us fans to get engrossed in and i for one enjoyed the experience.

This and all of his other recent films are filmed on Digital Video which stands out straight away but dosen't really take away the fun of watching the film.It wasn't as gory as i thought it would be but there's still quite a bit of the red stuff on show from exploding heads and ripped throats etc.

The main plus point about this and Mattei's other films from the last few years is that he continued to make films in the way that he always did which is a big plus for us fans.It's a real shame that the great man has now passed away because i for one would have loved to see him carry on churning out his own unique film making style so many years after making the films that gave him his fan base of today.
